Piotr Spalek photos - about

In a spring morning of the 11th of may of the year 1985 a child saw for the first time the lights of the world. It was me, a small Pole crying in the hands of his mother. I don't remember that day, actually I don't know which is the first day I remember of my life, I've never known it, it's like I was always here, alive in the world.

Since there almost ten thousand days passed away and the small child grew up.

I've moved from Poland to Italy, learned to communicate with different people from different parts of the world and to appreciate different cultures. I love languages. Poles, Italians, Russians, Americans, Arabian or Chinese, no matter who we are and where we are, we live in a small interrelated world now. We can learn a lot from each other.

This is the reason for I am now in Rome, studying Chinese language e culture in university La Sapienza, I want to kwnow people.

But maybe you are asking yourself  what about photography, why do I have a personal website with different kinds of pictures?

Just because I think life is very brittle and sometimes beautiful moments lasts only seconds, I like to catch them, not letting them die, whatever they are.

Walker Evans, an American photographer once said: "Stare, It's the way to educate your eyes. Pry, listen, eavesdrop. Die knowing something. You are not here long."
